Welcoming 2010~

Every year it seems like we welcome the year with hopes and dream along with positive attitude in prospering to the new upcoming year!

One of the things I noticed and pretty much interest me is that during the first few weeks is that people are so keen to profess their passion in taking over the world or some sort of equal rate that this year will be better than the other exponentially.

Year after year it never fails... about 70% of the time the same people who claim that they plan to take over the world ends up cursing the year on how it was not what they felt it should have been. Granted it is possible that things can not go the way you planned it but to think things prematurely isnt the way to go.

Through the years, we learn new and different things in life, by no means I am trying to portray myself as an expert... but I think the smartest thing to tackle life is a day by day basis.

Sure we can plan for the future all we want, but we can only do so much in the 24 hours we have in a day to prepare for what will be presented to us tomorrow. So for the following years to come, let us not prematurely plan what we will do, but let us all take it day by day

Keep it positive 2010! Positive thinking yields positive results!

Christmas and Family

Where do I begin...

I really dont think I am so keen into blogging family business stuff... atleast in the more serious side. Anyways, I guess it something I want to kinda express in writing...

My whole family I guess have been distant for the past few years, but it seems as it have been progressively coming all back together and spending more holidays and events together, which really makes me happy and enjoys it so much. I am not the biggest family-oriented person in the world but I do enjoy spending time with them.

When I say family, not just my immediate family, but the whole aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandparent type of deal... i guess every family have some sort if differences and issue... but at the end of the day we can all sort it out and come together.

This past christmas i really see how we've all come together as one and enjoyed each others company

I look forward for a greater year in 2010...

See you next year!!!

BLACKer the BERRY the sweeter the juice.... 9700, Onyx, Bold,

As my previous entries showed, I have been anticipating on purchasing or shall I say upgrade to the newer model of Blackberry. I recently signed up for a 2-year contract with ATT and received a new Blackberry 9700 aka Bold 2 aka Onyx for free.

This is my attempt on reviewing the new device.

Personally, after unlocking 7 Blackberry not long ago for my friend before my Asia trip I fell inlove with the trackpad the new addition to the blackberry, well it was more so a change than an addition.

Blackberry dropped the idea of the Trackball and replaced it with the trackpad... it is much comparable or the idea of Magic Mouse, you know the mouse for Apple users. Anyways, I think the trackpad was a better direction and appeasement for the users.

Being on EDGE network on my previous Curve 8310 the data transfer sucks balls, but with 3G i get everything pretty much in real time as I should be. Everything about the 9700 is unmatchable to my previous model, after all it was Curve vs. Bold... the bold was just far superior to my curve.

I like how the device isnt true to its name and is actually slimmer than the previous Bold the 9000. The keyboard took a bit of getting used to, but it was manageable...

I was worried about the battery life at first, since I heard 3G coverage tend to eat up battery life... but this isnt the case for me even when I use my phone for twitter, facebook, emails, text, and occasional web browsing.

I turned off the wifi simply because i wouldnt be needing it too much so it might be cause of that.

I am not familiar at the old Bold 9000 so I cant tell the difference on some of its features, but I do know that the video and photo have improved drastically from the zoom function to its clarity.

I've had the phone for about a week now and I am still exploring and learning the phone a bit more... I am not the biggest technology buff and I only got the phone because I was getting sick of the trackball getting stuck and my USB port being broken. It was long overdue and I just had to do it and I am glad that I did.

Korean BBQ!

So we had a long overdue of bday dinner.. so we celebrated a post-bday for our buddies Randy and Ricky and we pigged out on some KBBQ...

I must admit paying the extra bucks was well the worth of the other marinate meat.

I wasnt so much of a fan of the chicken or pork, but the marinate beef was the business.

Check out my fat fuckin face lol

Pork and Beef

oh man whenever I eat KBBQ i always over-indulge on the rice paper, and i must admit the sauce combination they had was pretty tasty.

Singapore Garage (R)

While being in Singapore, our local friends from the car magazine industry took us around and showed us local garages and shops in the country.

I was amazed on how this specific garage we checked out.

Garage R. I think some of the picture I took can be self-explanatory since I, myself, cant even explain how awesome this place was.

Reason # 1

True Garage have cars on display that have been worked on or workers car.

One of the FIVE (5) R35 GTR that was being worked on... at any given day, there is an upward of 10 or more!

This particular one was on BBS LM

This garage is also a grey market importer/exporter... gotta stay up on the game and expand! To my surprise there was a showroom floor upstairs.

Their pride and joy

A car given to them prior to winning a race, I forgot which race it was, but they are currently trying to do some RnD so it can be available for Malaysia/Singapore market.

After the tour of the shop, we were given a bonus tour to their clean room, if you dont know what that is, it is simply a room where they build motors. It is a dedicated room where the environment is clean and is at an optimal place to be! hahahaha

If you ever wondered how a 1000hp looks like outside a car, well here it is... also this would set you back about $45k or roughly $90k Singapore

Most of the components were custom made. These guys know what they are doing! The owner of the motor have been going to their shop for about 6 years. This motor will be tearin the roads up in Dubai, i hope to see a video someday!

Singapore 2009. Simply Amazing

Here are some samples of my adventure in Singapore. Other pictures that I have are on my birdberry and I have to upload the images when i pick up my new one since my usb connector is uncooperating.

I find Singapore simply amazing because of how small the country and how fast you can be soaked in the city. Locals have mentioned to me how you can go from one end to the other in no less than 20 minute.

Sentosa is a place in Singapore where you can run loose and have your own freedom, I am amazed how you simply take a 5 minute tram and you are there and for a measly fare ofr S$3 which is about $2 in US.

Welcome to Siloso Beach Resort, quite a destination spot. I am SERIOUS

Saw this father and son playful match, I wish i had better lens.

After walkin for quite sometime it was time to relax have a drink and a quick bite.

I almost forgot about this huge water lizard!

Took a lift to attempt on taking scenery pics... not too great

I thought this luge ride was pretty cool, i actually wanted to do it.. but after eating and drinking and almost melting from the heat and humidity I opted out.

Another Merlion in the city... the other one is in my BB card...

Seems like a big party at the beach, I heard about it last year... maybe next time!

more to come... garage spots and food spots!

Jakarta 2009 Autoblackthrough @JCC

Here is the album for the entire show plus random things.

Some of the pics like this one was from the girls photoshoot at Ivans motorsports our friends dealership.

Check out isabelle du at (isabelledu.blogspot.com) suppose to be candid but shes a pro and quick to pose!

For the ladies, better step up your make up game! ahahha

I am glad to see this car on the rollers.

I think this is the best picture i got to show off, but this car was once a toyota crown... it was transformed to something different even I can not explain what it is. This was the best car overall at the show, i believe it took home roughly 20 awards!

If and when I find a much better picture I will share it. Feel free to check out the album. More pictures to come, this were from my camera that my friend took for me. I have some off my blackberry which isnt the best but I was too lazy to lug around the XTI
